New Program locations The New Jersey Youth Golf Foundation has recently partnered with new agencies and golf courses to increase program offerings throughout the Raritan Valley region of New Jersey. Our chapter is now offering programs in Union, Morris, Somerset, and Middlesex Counties.
MORRIS COUNTY: We are working in cooperation with the Department of Defense at Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County to provide The First Tee Program. This program is held indoors in the winter and outdoors throughout the rest of the year. To help or get involved please call the Morris County Program Coordinator Dean Garrett at 973-626-5485.
UNION COUNTY: In the spring 2010, our chapter will begin programs at the newly renovated Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, NJ. Galloping Hill Golf Course is conveniently located along the Garden State Parkway in the center of Union County . Galloping Hill Golf Course now has a driving range, practice holes, bunkers, greens, and a 9 hole executive course. SOMERSET COUNTY: In addition to our current programs at Tara Greens Golf Center in Somerset, our chapter has added a new location for spring 2010. We are proud to announce a new partnership with Neshanic Valley Golf Course to begin to offer The First Tee program in the spring. Neshanic Valley currently ranked 36th in the top 100 public courses in America has agreed to begin to develop The First Tee program. The Neshanic Valley Golf Course is located in Neshanic Station, NJ and is perfect for offering The First Tee program. MIDDLESEX COUNTY: The chapter is proud of the partnership with Middlesex County Improvement Authority and the programs at Tamarack Golf Course in East Brunswick, NJ. The First Tee Program has hosted programming at Tamarack and Raritan Landing Golf Course since 2007. Tamarack Golf Course is perfect for classes and camps spring, summer, and fall. In 2009 our chapter hosted classes and camps at both Tamarack and Raritan Landing golf courses.
